Solar Energy Financing

The bank promotes financing energy efficiency technologies in industries that reduce energy consumption, lower operational costs, and promote sustainability. The financing include upgrading existing machineries/equipment to energy-efficient technologies, such as advanced machinery, optimized heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and energy-efficient lighting. Additionally, industries may pursue fuel switching, transitioning from high-carbon energy sources like coal or oil to cleaner alternatives such as electrifying boiler, biofuels, or renewable energy sources. Switching to energy-efficient equipment and adopting cleaner fuels can significantly reduce energy consumption, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and improve overall operational efficiency.&nbsp; The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that implementing efficiency measures can reduce the global need for primary energy by 900 million tons of oil equivalent through 2020. Most of these savings would occur in sectors such as transportation, construction, and agriculture&mdash;industries well populated by SMEs.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) ले भनेको छ कि यदि हामीले बिजुली बचत गर्ने उपायहरू अपनायौँ भने, २०२० सम्ममा विश्वभरि आवश्यक पर्ने ऊर्जा ९० करोड टन तेल बराबरले घट्न सक्छ। यो बचत धेरै जसो गाडी चलाउने, घर बनाउने र खेती गर्ने जस्ता काममा हुन्छ। यी कामहरूमा धेरै साना र मझौला व्यवसायहरू छन्।

Agriculture remains the primary source of livelihood for a significant portion of Nepal&rsquo;s population, with 19.44 million Nepal&rsquo;s, out of a total population of 29.16 million, relying on farming. Among these individuals, 9.54 million (representing 49.1 percent) are male, and 9.90 million (50.9 percent) are female. According to the census, agricultural households make up 62 percent of the total households in the country. Notably, the average size of these farm households has decreased from 5.4 persons in 2011/12 to 4.7 persons in 2021/22. Central bank&rsquo;s concerted efforts to emphasize agricultural loans and instruct banks and financial institutions (BFIs) to allocate 13 percent of their loans

नेपालमा धेरै मानिसहरू कृषि गरेर आफ्नो जीवन गुजारा गर्छन्। २ करोड ९१ लाख ६० हजार जनसंख्या भएकोमा १ करोड ९४ लाख ४० हजार मानिस खेतीमा आश्रित छन्। यी खेती गर्नेहरूमध्ये ९५ लाख ४० हजार (लगभग ४९ प्रतिशत) पुरुष र ९९ लाख (लगभग ५१ प्रतिशत) महिला छन्। जनगणना अनुसार, देशका जम्मा घरपरिवारमध्ये ६२ प्रतिशत कृषिमा आधारित छन्। उल्लेखनीय कुरा के छ भने, यी कृषि परिवारहरूको औसत आकार २०११/१२ मा ५.४ जना थियो तर २०२१/२२ मा घटेर ४.७ जना भएको छ।
केन्द्रीय बैंकले कृषि कर्जालाई महत्त्व दिन र बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थाहरूलाई आफ्नो कुल ऋणको १३ प्रतिशत कृषि क्षेत्रमा लगानी गर्न निर्देशन दिएको छ।

बिजुलीबाट चल्ने गाडीहरू (ईभीहरू) वातावरण र अर्थतन्त्र दुवैको लागि महत्त्वपूर्ण र फाइदाजनक छन्। यिनीहरूले हानिकारक ग्रीनहाउस ग्यासहरू उत्सर्जन गर्दैनन्, कम आवाज आउँछ, मर्मत गर्न कम खर्चिलो हुन्छ, र इन्धनबाट चल्ने गाडीहरू भन्दा चलाउन पनि सस्तो हुन्छ। विश्वभर ईभीको बिक्री बढिरहेको छ, र नेपालमा पनि यसको प्रयोग गर्ने दर उच्च छ। &nbsp;काठमाडौं जस्ता सहरहरूमा अत्यधिक धुवाँधुलोका कारण वायु प्रदूषणको गम्भीर समस्या छ। बिजुली गाडीहरूले धुवाँ नफाल्ने भएकोले यो समस्या समाधान गर्न मद्दत गर्छ। यसले वायुको गुणस्तर सुधार गर्छ र सहरलाई स्वस्थ बनाउँछ। &nbsp;आर्थिक रूपमा हेर्दा, बिजुली गाडीको प्रयोगले नेपालको आयातित पेट्रोलियम पदार्थमाथिको निर्भरता कम गर्न सक्छ। हाल पेट्रोलियम पदार्थको आयातमा ठूलो धनराशि खर्च भइरहेको छ। नेपालमा जलविद्युत जस्ता नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा स्रोतहरू प्रशस्त छन्। बिजुली गाडी चलाउँदा हामीले आफ्नै देशमा उत्पादित ऊर्जा प्रयोग गर्न सक्छौँ, जसले गर्दा पैसा बचत हुन्छ र ऊर्जा सुरक्षा पनि बलियो हुन्छ। यसका साथै, बिजुली गाडीको क्षेत्र फस्टाउँदा उत्पादन, मर्मत र चार्जिङ स्टेसन जस्ता पूर्वाधार विकासमा रोजगारीका अवसरहरू सिर्जना हुन्छन्। विद्युतीय यातायातले नेपालको ऊर्जा क्षेत्रलाई विविधीकरण गर्न र विश्वव्यापी तेलको मूल्यमा हुने उतारचढावको जोखिम कम गर्न पनि मद्दत गर्छ। &nbsp;ग्लोबल आइएमई बैंक नेपालको वातावरणलाई स्वच्छ बनाउन विद्युतीय सवारी साधनको प्रयोगलाई प्रोत्साहन गर्न प्रतिबद्ध छ। विद्युतीय यातायातलाई बढावा दिएर हामी कार्बन उत्सर्जन कम गर्न, वायुको गुणस्तर सुधार गर्न र देशको अर्थतन्त्रलाई बलियो बनाउन योगदान गर्न चाहन्छौँ।
